About the Role
The role involves strategic fund-raising and development; design and delivery of initiatives advancing direct engagement, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of prospects and donors; implementing innovative approaches to annual giving, major gifts, special campaigns and sponsorship from individuals, foundations and corporations; prospect and donor research; relationship management; and management of Heide staff and external service providers across a range of development and engagement activities.
-Setting and achieving annual revenue goals – in consultation and collaboration with the CEO and wider leadership team;
-Developing and implementing strategies for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding individual, foundation and corporate donors at all levels;
-Designing and implementing a diversified fundraising strategy – including annual fund, leadership annual giving, major gifts and grants, special campaigns and initiatives, planned giving, grant writing and sponsorships from individuals, foundations, corporations and other potential sources;
-Managing a small team that creates and implements Heide’s outward-facing development and engagement efforts;
-Supporting the major gift work of Heide’s CEO, Board of Directors and Foundation Board with top prospects;
-Personally managing a portfolio of 100 + high potential prospective donors; and
-Implementing prospect research and qualification process, donor stewardship and information systems, prospect management and annual fund and major gift initiative reports.
About the Organisation
Heide is led by the Director & CEO and supported by a leadership team which includes the Fundraising & Development Director. This team works closely with the Heide Board, Director’s Circle and Foundation.
