Organisation Name : Community Broadcasting Foundation
The Community Broadcasting Foundation (CBF) is an independent, non-profit company funded by the Australian Government and other sources to support the maintenance and development of the Australian community broadcasting sector. With a thirty-year plus history as the community broadcasting sector’s funding agency the CBF currently provides grants of more than $17 million annually to community broadcasting organisations, radio and television stations and program makers. The community broadcasting sector is comprised of over 450 community radio stations and three metropolitan-based community television stations operated by 26,700 volunteers and 766 EFT support staff. The community broadcasting sector has an estimated national weekly audience reach of 5.3m. listeners and viewers. Over 204,000 Australians financially support free-to-air community radio services directly as members or subscribers.

About the role

Fundraising role within small, passionate team supporting community media

The Role:
Join our well-established national NFP media foundation as we develop our fundraising program to help create belonging through community media in Australia. Our work connects people to their culture and community.

The Fundraising Executive will exercise a high level of initiative, look for ways to unite and connect our cause/purpose with the philanthropic community and corporate sector, be effective at developing and coordinating fundraising initiatives, and enjoy initiating and building relationships that secure our fundraising goals.

You will join a small, dedicated team and report directly to the CEO. To excel in this position a strategic hands-on approach is required.

The successful candidate will have:
• 5+ years of experience in fundraising or business to business sales
• a proven ability to build networks
• an existing national network within the business and/or non-profit sectors
• a strong work ethic and ‘can do’ attitude
• excellent communication and relationship development skills
• experience with CRM software

Prior Experience:
Previous experience and/or qualifications in fundraising or business to business sales will be highly regarded.

Hours of Work: full-time 37.5 hours per week.

Salary Range: $79,686 – $93,587 p.a. Starting at Step 1 of 5 – $79,686 plus employer contributed superannuation at 15.4%. Salary packaging available.
