Group Facilitator – Parenting Program & Day with Dad Coordinator

We’ve been around for almost as long as Melbourne itself and are a responsive, creative and flexible organisation transforming the lives of people experiencing disadvantage. Our services extend across disability, homelessness & justice, palliative care, and education and early years. This role is part of the MCM Ravenhall team that will deliver programs at Ravenhall Correctional Centre (Ravenhall CC). Ravenhall CC is a new medium security prison accommodating 1000 to 1300 men both sentenced and remanded. It will be managed by the GEO Group an international and private prison provider. MCM is part of the GEO ‘Alliance’ which is a group of community and specialist services contracted to deliver a range of programs at Ravenhall. Ravenhall Correctional Centre is based on the Good Lives Model, which has an ethical basis in human rights, and recognizes that the best way to reduce re-offending is to support and enhance the capabilities and well-being of men in prison. The MCM programs will include employment and education, family services, parenting and life skills programs as well as pre and post release case management support. In this role, you will be a part of a multi-disciplinary team of experienced professionals working towards a common goal of providing programs and services that will help men improve their lives and their community.
