The Brotherhood of St Laurence drives change that promotes a compassionate and fair society where everyone has a sense of belonging. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), administering the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) roll-out is partnering with the Brotherhood of St Laurence to deliver Local Area Coordination (LAC) services in North East Melbourne Area, Hume Moreland Area and Bayside Peninsula Area. LAC is pivotal in the NDIS which provides planning coordination and capacity building support for people with disability to maximise their choice and control over the services they receive. This also supports people with disability to access mainstream services and to increase our community’s capacity to be accessible to the supportive of people with disability.

  • $56,840 – $62,930 per annum plus superannuation (attractive salary packaging options available)

LAC is pivotal in the NDIS, providing planning coordination and capacity building support for people with disability to maximise their choice and control over the services they receive, allowing them to live an ordinary life. This role also supports people with disability to access mainstream services, to help them, their families/carers to develop their network connections, and to increase our community’s capacity to be accessible to people with disability.

You could come from a range of professional backgrounds but ideally possess customer service experience and a strong passion for the empowerment of people with disability. You may be working in the disability field currently or are outside of the sector and looking for a new role to challenge you; regardless of your background we welcome an application from you! You pride yourself on your ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and your impressive capacity to build and maintain meaningful and supportive relationships with a wide variety of people.
