About the role
Be our Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning expert in Papua New Guinea. Your technical leadership will define strategic direction and ensure high quality programming. Our new Education and Child Protection Programs focus on the most vulnerable children and work to keep children safe and in education. We need you to work with our strong and dedicated program team to refine and improve our work. Your specialist input will ensure we are reaching our ambitious goals and delivering long term change for children.
Where you come in:
In this full-time 3 year role based in Port Moresby PNG, you will report into the Country Director and have the unique opportunity to design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks across all our programs in PNG. This important role will manage the collection, measurement and analyses of data so we can tell the story of change for children.
You will make an impact by:
- Providing guidance and technical supervision to our team of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) coordinators
- Ensuring clear project monitoring and evaluation systems are in place and provide technical support and capacity development to project teams
- Contributing to the development and implementation of effective reporting and learning mechanisms to capture programming lessons and outcomes
If we could compose the perfect you…
…You are highly experienced in program design, monitoring and evaluation and have experience and knowledge working in the Pacific or other international context. You have technical knowledge on establishing monitoring systems and working with both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Your outstanding communication skills and experience in strengthening the capacity of staff in a development context Your ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders will see you achieve great outcomes for vulnerable children whilst working with multiple teams and stakeholders.
This role requires:
- Education to Bachelors or Masters level in a relevant subject or equivalent field experience
- Proven program design, monitoring and evaluation expertise
- Ability to write clear and effective assessment and project reports with high level of written and spoken English
- Ability to problem solve, multi-task, determine priorities, take initiative and work independently and in multicultural settings.
