About this opportunity
This role provides exceptional leadership in the management and development of best practice service delivery across catchment based Wellways programs. The Regional Manager will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational and financial management within the Western NSW region including capacity building, integrating services and systems, and the delivery of evidence-based practice and innovation. This role will also develop collaborative relationships with other business units in Wellways and ensure that services meet funding and service agreements.
In line with the organisational strategic objectives, key drivers for this role would be the successful implementation and development of Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI) and Recovery Resource Programs within Western NSW, effective service delivery and operational partnerships at an Local Health District (LHD) level as well as managing the introduction, cultural change and effectiveness of the NDIS within the Western NSW LHD.
About you
The successful candidate will be a contemporary leader able to influence and build collaborative relationships with government, government departments and other key stakeholders with a strong knowledge base of government policy and strategic directions in Mental Health area. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with proven experience in leadership and management of teams within a community-based organisation or within the mental health industry. An understanding and experience of mental health issues, rehabilitation practices and the impact of psychiatric disability on service users, their families, carers and the community, is critical to this role. Other qualities sought include strategic thinking capacity, financial acumen, flexibility, warmth and a positive and engaging communication style. Satisfactory police check & working with Vulnerable Persons’ Check, prior to commencement is essential. You are passionate about making a positive change to the lives of people living with severe and persistence mental illness.
