About the role

1. POSITION SUMMARY
Western Edge Youth Arts will need to make an EOI to secure the lease for the premises it currently occupies, owned by Maribyrnong City Council. WEYA seeks an experienced tender writer to complete the EOI. We are looking for someone that works well in a small team environment and can communicate effectively. You will have a successful track record of submission and/or tender writing for local government.

3. KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Internal
General Manager, Artistic Director, Board.

External
Maribyrnong City Council

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

1. Analyse, write, edit and submit a government tender submission
2. Produce high quality and innovative prequalification tender documentation
3. Ensure effective presentation style, information flow, tone and grammatical accuracy across documentation
4. Undertake research to gather information for the purpose of supporting the tender proposal
5. Liaise with internal / external stakeholders as required
6. Proactively seek feedback on the tender to determine ways to improve the information provided
7. Responsible for the project management of the tender submission
8. Build relationships with key internal and external persons to facilitate the process

Required knowledge/experience

• Demonstrated experience (at least 3-5 years) in grant and tender writing and a strong understanding of the NFP community services sector
• Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
• Expertise in a community orientated role and/or grants management
• Possess high level administration skills and demonstrated capacity to work effectively independently and with a broad range of people and backgrounds
• Demonstrated high level management skills and efficiency
• Ability to maintain confidentially on information at all times
• Demonstrate genuine respect for all people regardless of their situation
