About the role
AN OPPORTUNITY YOU WILL LOVE
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Donor Relations, you will drive and manage IWDA’s relationship fundraising portfolio. You will support the organisation’s purpose and sustainability by applying your skill and expertise to maximise fundraising income (untied and tied income) for the Agency. In your new role you will have proactive oversight of IWDA’s key stakeholders including Major Donors, Trusts and Foundations, Private Ancillary Funds (PAFs), and Bequestors.
You will innovate, enhance and create as you develop and maintain stewardship and management strategies to build increased short term return on investment, as well as greater donor lifetime value. This will include leveraging the CEO, Board members, Ambassadors and members of Leadership Team to maximise the effectiveness of donor engagement, ensuring donors receive content and contact that demonstrates the impact and effectiveness of IWDA’s work. You will also test donor engagement initiatives to ensure continual improvement within a donor-centric relationship fundraising program.
This role offers flexible work at either full-time (1.0 FTE) or part-time (0.8 FTE) hours.
ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced Major Gifts/ Fundraising/ Bequests/ Business Development Manager within the not-for-profit sector, in the international development space, with a passion for women’s rights and gender equality.
To excel in this opportunity you will have:
- Senior level experience in a not-for-profit sector organisation in fundraising and/or business development
- Substantial experience in, or knowledge of, the international development sector, gender and development and women’s rights
- Proven track record in achieving financial targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and relationship management skills
- Ability to create, innovate and enhance initiatives and processes
- Significant experience in proposal development and reporting
- Highly developed organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong financial management experience, specifically in budget and variance monitoring and management
- Proven experience in administering donor stewardship plans and pipelines.
