We are seeking a true expert in Marketing and Communication to assist with the sustainability and growth of the company. This is a newly created position is based in Caulfield South.
Key Responsibility areas and Performance Indicators
• Oversee the development, implementation and evaluation of the GEKA brand and marketing strategy
• Lead the development, execution and evaluation of a range of GEKA campaigns
• Identify new and exciting opportunities to grow the scope and reach of our brand
• Manage external media, advertising, marketing and other PR activities
• Provide media advice and develop media material in consultation with the CEO
• Develop and implement strategic communication and marketing strategies (both internal and external) for key GEKA projects and initiatives
• Manage all social media activity (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Flexi-buzz)
• Manage the application of the brand across the City of Glen Eira and with any partners
• Oversee the production and distribution of marketing and communications collateral including information for family and friends, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities, key stakeholders and partners
• Coordinate the GEKA newsletter and annual report, and its distribution to key stakeholders
• Provide strategic advice and recommendations to the GEKA leadership team and Board on marketing and communication strategies
• Conduct relevant market research and monitor trends
• Establish initiatives, policies and procedures to deliver ongoing improvements in service delivery
• Keep abreast of current practice and emerging trends in marketing and communications.
What will I need to succeed and also to address the Key Selection Criteria?
• A tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, media, or a related discipline; and/or equivalent demonstrated experience in a related field
• Understanding and/or experience of the workings of the not-for-profit sector
• Thorough understanding of, and interest in, social media and the online space
• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing communications/marketing campaigns and fundraising initiatives, from inception to completion of project
• Experience in the provision of media advice and the development of media material
• Highly developed strategic marketing, communications, and project management skills
• Demonstrated experience in developing successful marketing and communication strategies
• Proven track record in building and managing relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and well developed influencing and negotiating skills
• Ability to be self-motivated, responsive and flexible in an environment with time pressures and multiple priorities
