About the role

Reporting directly into the Communications, Engagement & Partnerships Manager, this newly created role is responsible for developing and implementing a sustainable growth strategy for the partnerships and engagement portfolio, and enabling team members to excel in their work.

This multidisciplinary position:
•Implements and monitors the national engagement, partnerships and fundraising strategy to achieve agreed targets
•Identifies, develops and manages opportunities to increase social and financial capital through grants and foundations, donor/partner relations, appeals, events, regular giving, campaigns and bequests
•Creates and nurtures strong relationships with key supporters, major donors and corporate partners to maximize fundraising results
•Oversees the growth of community fundraising participation through online and digital channels
•Analyses and interprets data to drive continuous improvement and financial outcomes for the organisation
•Identifies the professional development needs of, and provides coaching and support to team members

To be successful in this role you will:
•Have demonstrated experience and success in growing social and financial capital, with knowledge of current trends in fundraising, including digital acquisition
•Have proven ability to develop and implement a major donor program with the ability to manage budgets
•Have a thorough understanding of the Australian Charities and NFP Commission’s obligations (including record keeping, reporting and governance) as well as other Commonwealth/state regulator obligations
•Hold qualifications in a related discipline
•Demonstrate a strong understanding of people leadership and development
•Have demonstrated commitment to social justice and the GSANZ mission
