About the role
Your Purpose
The purpose of your position is to undertake research and progress projects across a range of issues relating to the wellbeing of Australian children and young people. Your major assignment will be to support “The Parent Engagement Project” which aims to develop and promote a shared understanding of what parent engagement is and why it matters, to encourage a consistent and ongoing approach to the measurement of its impact, and to build and share evidence about ‘what works’
To be successful you will have:
• Tertiary qualifications in social sciences, health or education
• Experience in a research support role and/or understanding of parent engagement in children’s learning
• The ability to support and maintain key stakeholder relationships
• Experience in working to and reporting against project deliverables and a broad understanding of project risks and budgets
• The ability to meet deadlines and work within time-frames, handling multiple tasks and
competing interests
