About the role

To lead primary and secondary research in key agri-based value chains in Uganda with specific reference to youth and other marginalised groups’ access to and participation in the value chains

You have;

  • A Master’s degree and an agricultural research background
  • At least five years of experience in conducting/leading agri-based value chain research at scale.
  • Well-versed with sound research designs and methodologies including participatory techniques.
  • Good understanding and experience of resilience approach to farming.
  • Understanding of participatory methodologies and a commitment to people led development, gender and social inclusion
  • Experience working with local authorities/institutions/private sector actors, especially agriculture related.
  • Good understanding of root and structural causes of poverty and marginalisation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
