About the Role
Board Members (2)
Uniting AgeWell is seeking two new Board Members with strong governance experience and expertise and professional knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: finance, IT, marketing, Uniting Church ethos and governance frameworks.
The ideal candidates will have experience in the not for profit sector, current knowledge of the aged care or health industries, and a commitment to the wellbeing of clients through service excellence and innovation. With the capacity to actively contribute to organisational strategy the successful candidates will have a clear understanding of good governance, including Board legal, ethical, fiduciary and financial responsibilities.
All Board Members are required to be a member of at least one Board Committee. Strong risk management, communication and networking skills are preferred and the capacity to work within and promote the ethos of the Uniting Church is essential.
About the Organisation
Uniting AgeWell is an organisation of the Uniting Church in Australia and has a wellbeing approach to its provision of services, encouraging choice and building on the strengths, goals and aspirations of each individual person. The organisation provides many services to older people including residential and community aged care, day centres, transitional care and retirement living, utilising our AgeWell Model based on access, independence, wellbeing and choice.
