The Director, Consulting position is a senior role in our consulting team and a member of SVA’s Leadership Team. Directors are responsible for client development and delivering successful projects of note. The role builds and maintains trust-based client relationships, while providing problem solving leadership, coaching and supervision to project team members. Directors lead SVA’s Consulting business and are collectively accountable for delivering agreed performance both in client impact and financial contributions.
Who you are
We are looking for an inspiring leader with a collegiate approach to leadership. With trusted expertise in strategy and credibility in informing effective application, you will come to the role with a strong background developing strategic work relationships and a successful track record in business development. Directors joining SVA are traditionally in good standing with a recognised strategy consulting firm and are considered as a thought leader in areas relevant to SVA’s work. An effective coach and mentor with a proven ability to lead teams to outstanding performance will achieve success in this role. Experience in government will be a distinct advantage.
As a Director at SVA you will lead on challenging and rewarding opportunities across the social sector, working on society’s most important challenges. You will collaborate with a highly committed team in SVA’s Perth office with a breadth of expertise across the social sector. The focus of this role will see you forging close relationships with inspiring clients, sector leaders, colleagues and stakeholders.

Social Ventures Australia (SVA) is a social purpose organisation that works with partners to improve the lives of people in need in Australia by helping businesses, governments and philanthropists to be more effective funders and social purpose organisations to be more effective at delivering services. SVA’s Consulting team supports leaders to make hard decisions, galvanise teams to sustain success and share insights with the social sector. We have more than 30 staff in our consulting team with offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. Since 2007, we have developed unique, on-the-ground experience supporting over 300 clients through 600 engagements. We work on society’s most challenging issues including housing, employment, education, mental health, disability, and Indigenous disadvantage.
