About the role

MBS philanthropic relationships with individuals and organisations are critical to supporting excellence and academic innovation through teaching and research. MBS currently has an exciting opportunity in the Engagement Department for a Philanthropy Manager.
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Engagement, this position is responsible for the development and implementation of funding strategies for research, programs and strategic initiatives.
We are looking for a candidate who is a creative and confident individual with established relationships in the philanthropic sector.

Key responsibilities include:
• Identifying and developing new relationships with Trusts, Foundations and PAF’s
• Preparation of high quality funding submissions to selected philanthropic trusts and foundations
• Assist and facilitate the development of innovative programs and projects suitable for Philanthropic Funding
• Effectively maintaining existing relationships with philanthropic funders through well-planned, targeted activities

Key Selection Criteria:
• 5+ years of fundraising experience in the NFP sector
• Strong leadership qualities, including strategic thinking and ability to inspire others
• High level of relationship management skills to build relationships with donors
• Collaborative, dynamic team player
• Highly developed written, oral communication, negotiation and presentation skills
