About the role

Position purpose
The purpose of this role is to manage perinatal mental health projects and activities for beyondblue’s Families program area. Our Families Program is broad and encompasses: perinatal, children, youth, parent, and older adult mental health. Your role as Project Manager will play a significant part in managing our “Healthy Dads” program. At the end of each day you can leave the office knowing that you are making an important contribution to the health of the 304,300 babies born in Australia every year, who will receive the best possible start in life via mentally healthy mums and dads.

What are we looking for?

We seek a highly skilled candidate with experience in project and contract management, stakeholder engagement, expertise in the area of mental health or health promotion more broadly, the ability to provide advice, communication skills and experience in managing a changing environment. In this role you will design, implement, evaluate and report on projects, manage partnerships and contracts with external funders, and collaborate across the organisation on a variety of activities to promote the mental health of new mothers, new fathers and their children.
A tertiary qualification in public health, health promotion, social sciences, or a related discipline is essential. At least five years’ experience in a similar role and an understanding of contemporary technologies to access, organise, share and communicate information would be highly regarded.
