Settlement Services International (SSI) is a leading community-based not-for-profit organisation providing a range of services in the areas of refugee settlement, asylum seeker assistance, housing, multicultural foster care, disability support and employment services in NSW. Our vision is to achieve a society that values the diversity of its people and actively provides support to ensure meaningful social and economic participation and to assist individuals and families reach their potential.

The Business Development Team oversees government and other tender and grant applications processes. The Business Development Team also leads fee for service initiatives. Gaining competitive funding will continue to be an important part of SSI’s revenue base.

About the role

• Permanent position – full time

• Fortnightly Accrued Day Off (ADO), salary packaging and flexible hours

• Based in Ashfield – close to public transport

 

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Business Development Team as they plan for new and exciting opportunities to further assist the clients and communities we support! This is a newly created position reporting to our Business Development Manager and requires someone who can confidently adapt to working with diverse multiparty stakeholders.

The Tender Manager is responsible for:

  • Coordinating multiple complex tenders
  • Managing the tender process end to end from design, scope, inception through to submission
  • Managing a panel of expert subcontracted tender writers from editors and consultants, to co-designers and facilitators
  • Developing a process for identifying and engaging additional consultants to support an increase in tender responses
  • Building the capacity and capability of senior leaders undertaking the role of tender leads
  • Strengthening tender processes by developing and refining the process, policies and procedures
  • Where capacity allows, write for smaller tenders

 

ABOUT YOU

We’re seeking a driven self starter with superior written skills and a strong focus on ensuring our tender submissions are considered and competitive. We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, well networked and has the ability to quickly build rapport and develop collaborative relationships with multiparty stakeholders.
