ABOUT THE PROGRAM
SSI’s Community Engagement unit sets out to help newcomers find a place of belonging in the Australian community. Working with volunteers and community groups, the Community Engagement unit ensures that newcomers feel welcomed and that their participation in society is valued.
ABOUT THE PR OJECT
Welcome2Sydney is a new, innovative project co-designed by City of Sydney and SSI. The project will work closely with volunteers and community groups from the City of Sydney to host families newly arrived to Australia as refugees for excursions and activities.

- 12 Month Contract
YOUR CONTRIBUTION
- Work with the City of Sydney to implement the Welcome2Sydney project
- Encourage newcomers to explore their new city
- Lead a team of volunteers to host excursions to the City of Sydney
- Chair the Advisory Group
- Project management and communications strategies
ABOUT YOU
Do you have tertiary qualifications in Community Service or Social Work? Are you an experienced Project Manager? Do have experience working with recently arrived refugees? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
