About the Role

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Lead, the part-time Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting the marketing and communications team through writing, editing, producing publications such as the Annual Report and supporters’ newsletters, and internal communications. This role is crucial for ensuring consistency across all Launch Housing and HomeGround Real Estate communications channels.
The successful candidate will have ouststanding writing and editing skills, and demonstrated experience in developing and implementing effective communications, media and marketing strategies. You will have a sound understanding of social policy, housing, homelessness, the community/welfare sector and/or related matters. You will also be able to manage and prioritise multiple simultaneous projects, and be adept at pushing through complex initiatives.
You will enjoy working as part of a collaborative team, have a passion for purpose, and think outside the box. This exciting and challenging position offers candidates the opportunity to build and empower the lives of people experiencing homelessness.
About the Organisation
Launch Housing has an ambitious and singular mission to end homelessness. We aim to get people housed, keep them housed, and be an influential voice on ending homelessness. Formed in 2015 following a merger of two well-respected agencies - Hanover Welfare Services and HomeGround Services, we are a secular, independent provider of choice for clients and the "go to" organisation on homelessness for government, media, philanthropy, private donors and the community.
