A substantial bequest triggered the beginning of the Werribee Hospital Foundation (WHF) in 1993. For a quarter of a century the Foundation has worked among the community of Wyndham to raise funds for its only public hospital, the Werribee Mercy Hospital located in Werribee. The WHF’s Board oversee programs and initiatives resulting in funding for the improvement of public hospital services in Wyndham. The Werribee Hospital Foundation is the largest financial supporter of the public hospital and all funds provided by the Foundation are directed to public hospital projects, ensuring that all benefits remain local.
