The Company Secretary & Legal Counsel works with multiple stakeholders across the face of the organisation, providing legal advisory services and a dedicated Company Secretarial function to Baptcare and Baptcare Affordable Housing, giving procedural, governance and compliance support to the Board of Directors of each entity. Other accountabilities include leadership of contracts, risk management, overseeing insurance matters and Board & Committee meetings.
For this important and expanding role, which is highly valued by Baptcare, you must be admitted as a Barrister or Solicitor, with experience in advising on governance, organisational and contract related matters. Experience in Company Secretarial practice, preferably with a qualification from the Governance Institute of Australia, is also required.
