About the organisation
Breast Cancer Trials is the new name that brings together the Australia and New Zealand Breast Cancer Trials Group (ANZBCTG) and its fundraising department, the Breast Cancer Institute of Australia, under one brand.
Since its inception in 1978, Breast Cancer Trials has been committed to finding new and improved breast cancer treatments and prevention strategies for every woman, through the conduct of breast cancer clinical trials research. As one of the most successful, respected and oldest breast cancer research groups in the world, our research program has played a pivotal role in influencing and improving breast cancer practice, treatment and care in Australia, New Zealand and globally.
This has been supported by our fundraising department, which has raised more than $80 million for the Breast Cancer Trials research program since 1994, thanks to the generosity of Australian individuals and corporate supporters.
