About the Role

This is a 20 hour/week position and will work closely with the Business Development manager to prioritise a work plan.

Objective
To create methods and then generate the KPI amount in financial support for the Research Foundation through activity with individuals who identify ADEA as a charity of choice.

The following core competencies will be important in selecting the right person together with their experience and qualifications.
The person selected will also be a good fit for the organisation, a values based charity that holds respect and integrity very highly.
• Good understanding of fundraising and campaign delivery • Good understanding of basic fundraising principles and methods and FIA ethics.
• Good sales and marketing expertise to enable multimedia approach to developing supporter base and maximising financial returns
• Understanding of Database construction and management • Attention to detail; and thoroughness in accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved • Good team player and able to work collaboratively.

ABOUT THE AUSTRALIAN DIABETES RESEARCH FOUNDATION
The ADEA Diabetes Research Foundation (ADRF) funds research that enables people living with diabetes and their care team to work together to identify questions, find answers and use this new knowledge to support people with diabetes as they work hard to live well every day. This work complements clinical research in finding a cure for diabetes. In 2017, ADRF will provide two funding programs, the research grant and research fellowship.
