Windgap Foundation is a highly recognised not for profit organisation committed to continuously evaluating and improving our services that support people with intellectual disabilities to achieve their full potential.
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Marketing & Communications Manager to join our team. This position will lead the formulation of marketing and communication strategies for internal and external stakeholders of the organisation. These strategies will be focused on Windgap’s aspiration to become a more customer-centric organisation. This will entail working closely with the Senior Leadership team of Windgap, and the Customer Care Manager, to develop and deliver:
• Thoughtful, well-integrated, promotion of Windgap and its services in all media channels;
• Designing and implementing client interfacing/interaction strategy, supporting higher client satisfaction, retention and engagement; and
• Consistent messaging, branding, “look and feel”, and communication style that will support Windgap’s overall Mission and Objectives
The role will not only lead the marketing and communication area at Windgap, but also play a key hands-on service improvement role, especially in relation to the Customer Care Team, by working with all stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
• Strong commitment to inclusion of people with disabilities within the community
• Marketing experience in the community services sector
• Experience in dealing with clients, families and the community within the disability sector
• Significant knowledge of government and sector resources and supports which may be accessed by clients/families/community
• Excellent computer skills in MS applications: Word, Outlook, Excel, databases
• Thorough knowledge of social media networks and their applications
• Well developed customer service skills with the ability to establish and maintain appropriate professional relationships
• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills which enable identification, assessment and management of issues/conflicting priorities
• Well developed interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, including negotiation, mediation and advocacy skills
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Current NSW driver’s license
