About the role
Main responsibilities of the role:
The Intake and Booking Team Leader oversees the management and coordination of the Intake and Booking team across all LAC regions. The Intake and Booking team is a centrally managed team with a critical role in ensuing smooth and efficient planning coordination across all Local Area Coordination regions. This position plays a pivotal role in managing the workflow of the Local Area Coordination team and developing systems and processes that; maximise the efficiency of the intake process and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. In addition to coordinating the Intake and Booking team, this position will work alongside the Intake and Booking Officers to effectively and efficiently screen NDIS participant records, ensuring that all relevant participant/family/carer information is correct, current and available.
To meet the selection criteria, candidates will require:
Essential
• well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and liaise across all levels both internally, externally and with people with disability and from diverse backgrounds
• demonstrated knowledge and previous experience in a similar role within disability and/or community services
• demonstrated experience in leading a team and facilitating a productive and enjoyable work environment
• demonstrated experience in providing professional and friendly customer service to the community
• ability to effectively use a range of office and customer support technologies
• well-developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to plan workload, prioritise and meet deadlines in a dynamic fast paced environment
• ability to work autonomously and effectively as part of a team to achieve outcomes
• demonstrated knowledge and competency in Microsoft Officer Programs including Word, Excel and Outlook
• strong understanding of and empathy with the values and ideals of the Brotherhood.

Desirable
• demonstrated understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme
• lived experience or awareness of the impact of existing or acquired disability upon individuals, carers and community
• networks within CALD or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
This is a full time position working 38 hours per week. Salary will be in the range of $63,000 to $70,000 per annum, based on skills and experience plus superannuation. Attractive salary packaging provisions are available to increase take home pay.
