About the role

•A$102-115K per annum (plus 17% employer superannuation and leave loading)
•3-year contract
•Full-time (35 hours per week)
•CSI UNSW Sydney (Kensington) office

A key part of CSI’s vision of social change for a better world is our education programs. Across our MBA, Master of Commerce, Graduate Certificate, and undergraduate courses, we engage with students to develop their passion for social impact and empower them with frameworks and tools to be effective in contributing to stronger social outcomes, wherever their career takes them.

We are seeking an energetic, collegiate and effective individual who is passionate about contributing to catalysing positive social change and supporting high quality research led teaching.

The Education Portfolio Manager will have responsibility for effective day-to-day management of the UNSW Education portfolio (including budgets) for the Centre of Social Impact. The Manager-CSI Education also plays a strategic and practical role in establishing and implementing systems and supports and works closely with the Director – CSI National Education as well as liaising with the UNSW Senior Leadership Team and CSI partner universities’ education staff.

About you

To be successful in this role you will:

•Have experience in the provision of academic (i.e. education) support and the ability to manage systems and processes in a small academic unit in a university setting.
•Be an effective, proactive and energetic manager with experience in understanding what Education staff and students need and who can supervise and motivate people to achieve successful outcomes.
•Be experienced in planning and managing complex projects, analysis and budget development with excellent time management skills.
•Have initiative, flexibility, operational confidence and independence in your approach to enhancing the student experience and achieving CSI’s Strategic KPIs.
•Be an effective communicator with the ability to listen and effectively develop and steward highly productive external and internal relationships.
•Be excited about, and committed to, the future direction of CSI, our culture and our values.
An applicant for this role must be an Australian citizen or have Australian work rights for the duration of the fixed term role and will be required to undergo a pre-employment qualification check prior to appointment to this role.
