About the role

About the role: Relationship Manager, Philanthropy  

Being a key part of the Charitable Trusts & Philanthropy team based in Melbourne, this role will be pivotal in building Equity Trustees’ profile nationally, contributing directly to the development of the service offering to Philanthropists and NFP organisations, with a focus on proactively managing a large number of key living philanthropists, while also looking to expand on our current client base. The role will involve managing existing client relationships (end-to-end) in Victoria, including providing strategic and tailored advice around structured giving vehicles, such as the Equity Trustees Charitable Foundation and will have a strong focus on business development and client engagement through thought leadership. It will also have a focus on more effectively leveraging cross-sell opportunities across the wider Equity Trustees’ business and client base. Working closely with the highly experienced Philanthropy team (Melbourne & Sydney), this role will function as the company’s dedicated SME for Living Philanthropists, responsible for championing and driving excellence in our client offering, and would also support the wider strategic drive of Equity Trustees to deepen community impact through achieving a greater scale of more effective philanthropy. They will work with the wider team to deliver education through thought leadership in key areas, such as trends in: philanthropy, strategic giving, relevant governance, Socially Responsible Investing and other key issues. What you’ll need to succeed: • Significant demonstrated experience and knowledge of advising HNW individuals/Philanthropists • Exceptional Relationship Management skills • A solid understanding of structured giving vehicles • Demonstrated sales skills • A good understanding of investment markets • Proven ability to develop strong relationships with both internal and external clients • Demonstrated experience in talking about ‘best practice’ investment governance frameworks and trends in socially responsible investing. • A proven knowledge of and/or network in the For Purpose sector • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Experience with XPLAN and Salesforce Mandatory: • Experience with linking For Purpose organisations and HNW individuals • Tertiary qualification in Business, finance or related field with a strong focus on Investment structures and products Well regarded: • RG146Experience of servicing Living Philanthropist clients • Masters in a relevant course on Social Impact • Masters in Applied Finance, CFA or equivalent Masters What we can offer you: • Discounted health insurance • ANZ Banking Corporate Partner Benefits Program • Bonus and incentive schemes • Employee share purchase scheme • Discounted tax and estate planning services • Generous Paid Parental Leave • Employee Assistance Program • Social events • Learning and Development opportunities • Group Salary Continuance Plan
