About the role
Working closely with the Property Services and Assets Manager you will provide technical, design and project management assistance, manage construction / refurbishment projects as well as assist in the strategic development and implementation of new systems to achieve consistent results.
In this highly autonomous role you will play an integral role in the establishment of project briefs on Consultant appointed projects, and be required to take the lead role in any internally managed/contracted projects. With experience in architecture from design to project completion, you will have the ability to identify and resolve technical and design issues, undertake tender assessment, analyse and design reviews. We are seeking an excellent communicator who will liaise confidently with both internal and external stakeholders, promptly respond to correspondence and possess the ability to relay complex design ideas in layman’s terms.
We are looking for someone who can develop and manage approved project budgets, and also assist in the preparation of proposals seeking Government funding and grant money. The ideal applicant will have experience in project management and have excellent time management skills to successfully undertake a number of projects at different stages of development simultaneously. Travel to all Wintringham & Wintringham Housing sites throughout metropolitan and regional Victoria is required in this role.
We are looking for candidates with the following:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Architecture or Construction Management
- Current Victorian driver’s license and own, reliable car
- Understanding of National Construction Code and applicable Australian Standards is essential
- Experience using CAD software (favourable)
- High degree of computer literacy

Wintringham Housing provides housing and related support services to elderly men and women who come from a homeless background. The Housing Program has been developed to support the residents to maintain stable long-term housing and improve their health and wellbeing. Wintringham own or have responsibility for a significant and diverse property portfolio including six aged care facilities, close to 500 housing units, eight offices and associated plant and equipment. The value of these property assets exceed $200 million. Our property team is charged with delivering high quality asset management services for our existing portfolio and overseeing the construction of new property developments.
