Project Officer
Special Projects: NSW/ACT

Fixed term contract – 01 March – 01 June 2018
Full or Part time

$75,000, pro rata

ECIA NSW/ACT Office: Suite 607, level 6, 83 York Street Sydney

The Project Officer’s primary duty, reporting directly to the CEO, is to undertake management of a number of special projects including Grants Program”, and research project with relevant consultants

SELECTION CRITIERIA.

Key Competencies

• Dependability: Can be relied upon to meet deadlines. Consistently punctual and regular in attendance. Fulfils all commitments; and
• Flexibility: Appropriately changes approaches to situations to achieve a desired result

Essential: Demonstrated:
• High level written and oral communications skills
• Experience in writing tenders and grant applications
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and communicate with stakeholders from Government, varying social contexts, professionals, practitioners and members and ECIA staff
• Experience in managing and leading projects with diverse outcomes and competing deadlines
• Analytical and conceptual skills
• Organised and self-directed person
• A high level of computer literacy

Desirable
• Understanding of the current trends, issues and policy in Early Childhood Intervention
• Understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
• Experience within a NFP community-based or professional membership-driven organisation
