About the role

  • As part of a new national strategy, collaborate and lead fundraising in Victoria
  • Raise the Heart Foundation’s philanthropic profile and establish a major gifts program
  • Manage a high performing, diverse fundraising team raising + $10 million

 

The Role

As a member of the Victorian leadership team the primary focus of the role is to collaborate on a national level regarding fundraising best practice, lead a high performing Victorian fundraising team and build the philanthropic profile of the Heart Foundation.

You will provide strong leadership and mentoring to a team who are working across regular giving, trusts and foundation, community, corporates, major donors and bequests. You will be responsible for driving team performance, managing budgets and reporting on the progress of the fundraising program.

Personally you will also be responsible for engaging with the philanthropic community and delivering a major gifts program.You will work closely with the CEO and facilitate asks or make asks from high net worth individuals.

 

Skills Required

This role would be suited to an experienced fundraiser who has worked in a national or global organisation and who has had responsibility for leading a fundraising program and managing a high performing team.

You will be highly collaborative and understand how to work within a national strategy. Whilst having generalist fundraising skills you will primarily be a relationship fundraiser and will, preferably, be well connected into the world of Victorian philanthropy. You will be an excellent people manager, able to further develop the skills of experienced industry fundraisers.

This role has budgetary responsibilities and requires strong financial management and reporting skills.
