As the oldest community legal centre in NSW, Redfern Legal Centre is a leader in the sector. We work to redress inequalities in the legal system that adversely and disproportionately affect vulnerable people, both in the Redfern community and State wide. The Centre pursues social change and law reform to reduce these inequalities.
About the role
An exciting opportunity exists to join the management team of Redfern Legal Centre, leading the legal, education and policy work in tenancy and homelessness prevention.
This position suits an experienced, enthusiastic and dynamic tenancy worker who enjoys working with vulnerable clients and helping to address systemic issues. The person we are seeking has relevant legal and policy experience as well as staff supervision and management.
Status: Permanent, full time (35 hours per week, however 28 hours will also considered if requested by the successful applicant)
Salary and benefits: $88,772 – $95,313 p.a. depending on qualifications and equivalent years experience.
Superannuation and annual leave loading is paid in addition to this and salary packaging* is available. In addition to being a flexible workplace, RLC offers a 35 hour working week, time in lieu options and 4 weeks annual leave on top of a Centre shut down for 2 weeks at Christmas.
* As a Public Benevolent Institution, Redfern Legal Centre is able to offer staff generous salary packaging options. The tax savings for a staff member choosing to take full advantage of the salary packaging option mean that their take home salary may be increased by up to $6,000 per annum.
