Vision Australia is seeking an accomplished professional with a passion for Volunteering, based out of our Parramatta Office. This role will also work across the Ashfield and Epping sites.

Responsibilities

As a Coordinator of Volunteers at Vision Australia you will:

Ability to create roles, select and match volunteers effectively and retain a strong volunteer workforce
Ensure the effective and efficient administration of volunteer and peer support services using effective and proactive recruitment, training, advocacy, development and support processes.
Promote and represent Vision Australia in relevant forums; and develop and maintain internal and external networks to assist in growth of volunteer network.
Continuous professional development, including keeping up to date with policy and procedures, and maintaining skills and knowledge.
Monitor and maintain accurate, up to date volunteer records in accordance with professional standards and Vision Australia Policy and Procedures and all relevant legislation.
Manage program development and recognition functions as per policy and procedure.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you will have:

Demonstrated experience in working with and supporting volunteers
Relevant experience in community or disability services
Demonstrated experience in proactive recruitment/community involvement
Experience working with people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
Ability to select appropriate volunteers and match effectively to volunteer demands
