Formed in 1917, QEC is a 42-bed Public Hospital and Community Service Organisation that provides a range of residential and in-home services designed to support children to get the best start in life. QEC is Victoria’s largest provider of residential and community parenting services and delivers a variety of programs to over 3,800 families annually, in collaboration with Government and NFP partners across Victoria. QEC promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children. With locations across Victoria including Noble Park, Wodonga, Preston, Dandenong, Carrum Downs and Morwell, QEC employs approximately 130 staff including Nurses, Midwives, Psychologists, Social Workers and Early Childhood staff. Many families face physical, psychological, intellectual or environmental challenges that compromise their ability to nurture and support the health, safety and wellbeing of young children. Programs at QEC are research informed, evidence based and individually tailored to meet the unique needs of each family. These services enable families to nurture and protect their children, to enhance family health and development.

Our programs support families to achieve better life outcomes for their children, transform and develop family resilience, community connections and develop stronger social capital.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this newly created role offers a fantastic opportunity to build on a 100 year legacy of providing children with the best start in life. As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will drive and influence strategy and innovation across the organisation as well as provide high level expertise across a number of portfolio’s including People & Culture, Learning & Development, Occupational Health & Safety, Assets and Facilities.

The appointee will possess extensive senior management experience along with a passion for staff engagement and building a culture of success. The incumbent will hold a tertiary qualification in Human Resources (or equivalent), a postgraduate qualification in the discipline of management or similar will be highly regarded. Proven expertise in the field of Human Resources is essential.
