About the organisation

Organisation Name : Swinburne University of Technology
More than 100 years ago Swinburne opened its doors with a simple premise in mind: to provide education to a section of society otherwise denied further education. Over a century later, Swinburne continues to persevere in its commitment to not only provide, but also transform education through strong industry engagement, social inclusion, a desire to innovate and, above all, a determination to create positive change. The Swinburne Advancement Office proactively supports the University’s strategic goals by fostering relationships with major stakeholders to build passion, engagement and commitment to the University. Its role is to attract transformational philanthropic support and inspire alumni to engage in the life of the institution as volunteers, ambassadors and supporters.

About the role

The Advancement Office now seeks an experienced development professional as the Director of Development, who will lead a collaborative and highly professional fundraising team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative and multifaceted philanthropic programs to secure private financial support to advance the strategic priorities of the University. Such programs will include major gifts, grants from Trusts and Foundations, annual giving, multi-year giving and bequests.

With extensive experience in developing and leading successful fundraising programs at a senior level, your collaborative approach to leadership and management will enable you to work with senior staff across the University to facilitate internal networks to identify opportunities, and nurture relationships with donors and potential donors.
