A   great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their growing Finance team. Working as part of a small and dynamic team you will be responsible for the management reporting, compliance and payroll functions at Light Melbourne. This role is also a key support to the CFO and second in charge for the department. As the operational team leader, this role will also provide support on a day to day basis to two other roles in the finance department. Other responsibilities will include;

  • Providing strong accounting support
  • Preparing financial reports with variance analysis and preparing financial forecasts.
  • Managing Profit and Loss and Balance sheet integrity through monthly general ledger reconciliations.

 

The successful candidate will need to evidence strong financial literacy, be tertiary qualified in Commerce or Accounting, have the ability to meet deadlines and be able to work in a supportive team environment. Ideally you will have a good understanding of the Australian Accounting Standards in the NFP (not-for-profit) sector, possess a few years’ experience in a mid to large enterprise and have experience in journal preparation and Balance sheet reconciliations and be IT literate.  You will be strongly aligned to the values of this leading Christian NFP organisation and be looking for a role where you can further develop in your finance career.
