About the role

Fundraising and Marketing Team Leader | AUSTRALIAN CHILDHOOD FOUNDATION

• Full time maternity role – initial 12 month contract possible extension
• Inner Melbourne suburbs location
• Broad and dynamic role in a growing and expanding team

The Australian Childhood Foundation believes in a world where all children are safe from the trauma of abuse, violence and neglect. We provide specialist trauma counselling and therapeutic care to child victims of abuse, as well as running research, education and community awareness programs.

We are seeking a dynamic Fundraising and Marketing Team Leader to assist in leading our Donor Development and Fundraising Department. If you share our passion for children, are a “go-getter” who makes things happen and, are ready for a role that will take an organisation to the next level in its fundraising growth, then please read on.

In this senior role, reporting to the National Manager, you will bring your experience in the community and not for profit sector to inspire and engage our donors. You will take charge of donor communication plans that build engaged and long term donor relationships, ensuring we focus on regular donors, major supporters and bequest prospects. Your marketing and relationship skills will see you expanding our community fundraiser engagement plan and building our profile where it matters. You’ll develop our work with community fundraising platforms such as Everyday Hero and Go Fundraise, whilst collaborating with your team to bring out their best.

Your duties will include:
• Participate in the program development by working collaboratively to contribute to the successful implementation of the Fundraising Program nationally.
• Provide leadership to a small administrative team.
• Assist in the development of donor management plans that aim to focus on the growth of regular donor feedback and activity, and the improvement of all donor relationships within the Foundation.
• Develop and improve the outcomes and return on investment through current third party community fundraiser platforms such as Every Day Hero and Go Fundraise.
• Liaise with external agencies responsible for donor acquisition and renewal programs, ensuring a high quality of donor service is maintained through these external providers consistent with internal goals for donors.
• Be responsible for the delivery of creative and effective mail and electronic mail campaigns for acquisition and renewal of donors and deepening the value and relationships between donors and the Foundation.
• Develop a fresh and inspiring engagement program for regular donors to ensure maximum retention and growth in regular donor relationships.

About you:
• An appropriate qualification in fundraising or marketing disciplines.
• Fundraising/Donor Development experience in a similar role.
• High level of personal integrity with the ability to understand, develop and sustain resilient and dynamic relationships.
• Superior engagement skills.
• Proficient knowledge of SalesForce and WordPress would be an advantage.
• Previous experience in digital marketing would be an advantage.
• A current Working with Children Check or equivalent and current Victoria Drivers Licence.

Preferred skills:
• Experience and understanding of fundraising processes and prospect research.
• Experience and/or understanding of fundraising campaigns in the not for profit sector.

Remuneration & Benefits: Competitive salary + superannuation + salary packaging + Surface Pro + mobile phone + $1,000 professional development allowance + higher qualifications allowances. The salary is determined on the basis of the employee’s experience & qualifications.
