Principal Lawyer
Social Security Rights Victoria (SSRV)
Lead the delivery of social security rights legal services to vulnerable and disadvantaged Victorians.
SSRV is an independent, state-wide, specialist community legal centre specialising in social security and related law and practice. This includes direct legal advice, casework and representation services, community legal education and legal policy work.
Reporting to the Director, the Principal Lawyer manages the legal practice and actively contributes to other aspects of the organisation’s services and operations, including community legal education and policy initiaitives. The position is 0.7-0.8 full time effective position, located in Fitzroy. Applicants must be eligible to hold a Principal Practising Certificate. Wages and conditions as per the SCHCADS Award CDW Level 7, the CLC Multi-Business Agreement and some over-award conditions. Salary packaging is available.
