About the role

Program Trainer

• Use your training and faciliation experience to improve child and youth wellbeing

• Part time 0.6 FTE (3 days/week)

• 12 month contract with possibility of extension

Your Purpose

To provide training, facilitation, and presentations on a variety of child/young people’s wellbeing focused topics and issues. Training delivery will mostly be centered around The Common Approach (a prevention-focused and flexible way of working to help everyone have quality conversations with young people and their families about all aspects of their wellbeing) and provide all associated tasks, including administrative, related to operating this program. Specific responsibilities will cover all aspects of preparation, delivery and post delivery elements of the training program as well as liaison with participants, other members of staff and key stakeholders.

To be successful you will have

  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to ARACY’s work e.g. health, education, social services.
  •  Facilitation and/or training delivery experience
  • Practical experience relevant to improving child and youth wellbeing
  • High level interpersonal skills, including communicating effectively in a variety of settings, and the ability to cultivate and maintain productive relationships.
  • Experience in research, policy and report writing desirable

In addition, a commitment to the ARACY Values of Collaboration, Courage, Inclusion, Integrity, and Quality will be critical.

ARACY offers flexible working arrangements and is located in central Canberra. A remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant, commensurate with skills and experience.
