TSANZ has a busy continuing education program and an internationally renowned respiratory function laboratory accreditation program.
About the role
Would you like to work in a small, friendly and dedicated team supporting medical professionals to provide first class respiratory healthcare? The Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ) is the peak body in the region representing a membership of more than 1,500 professionals. With a very active Board, range of committees, branches and special interest groups, TSANZ advocates on behalf of its membership to state and federal government and other stakeholders in the field of respiratory healthcare. TSANZ has a busy continuing education program and an internationally renowned respiratory function laboratory accreditation program.
We are seeking a mature-minded, switched on and proactive new staff member to administer the laboratory accreditation program.
Your week will be varied. From taking minutes at teleconferences or Board meetings, to assisting the Memberships Officer in taking payments over the phone, you will be a natural all-rounder, willing to assist colleagues as well as taking responsibility for the administration of the laboratory accreditation program. You will liaise with the Laboratory Accreditation Committee, panels of assessors and staff at laboratories to assist with the smooth running of accreditation applications from start to finish. You can multitask and demonstrate good attention to detail as well as sound interpersonal skills.
In time there will be the opportunity to assist the CEO on various projects. TSANZ sets guidelines and standards in respiratory health and the office can be fast-paced at times. Especially around the time of the annual scientific meeting, March each year. Based 2 minutes’ walk from Wynyard station you will find a happy, productive and fun team who enjoy the occasional social outing, and working together!
