About the organisation

Organisation Name : OzChild
For over 165 years, OzChild has been committed to the protection of Australia’s most vulnerable children and their families and is working towards achieving a society in which all children, regardless of their background, religion or culture, are living happily in a safe and caring environment. Following OzChild’s success in the establishment of evidence-based programs in Victoria and New South Wales, it has just announced it will commence delivering the evidence-based program Treatment Foster Care Oregon for children (TFCO C) in Queensland. TFCO C is an internationally-proven program that works to address behaviours in children transitioning from residential care to achieve long-term stability. It is an Australian-first backed by 30 years of research with Queensland being the second site of delivery.

About the role

Interested in building something from the ground up, engaging with stakeholders, growing program reach and profile, and genuinely making a difference to the lives of vulnerable children?

Based in Toowoomba, the role offers plenty of autonomy and scope to make your mark and create a legacy. Working closely with the National Executive Director of Services, you will be responsible for leading the implementation and identification of new services into Queensland; identifying, developing and managing collaborative relationships and partnerships with Queensland government departments, agencies and external service providers; and recruiting, leading and supporting a small team to deliver a high quality, evidence-based program, alongside the program developers based in the USA

This rewarding opportunity will appeal to an innovative, aspirational leader to genuinely contribute to improving the lives of at-risk children and young people. Tertiary qualified in social work, psychology or social sciences, ideally to postgraduate level, you bring proven and successful senior leadership experience in the not-for-profit or human services sectors and exposure to working with vulnerable children, young people and their families. With an evident ability to lead and influence positive change initiatives, you enjoy a challenge and possess highly developed communication and interpersonal traits, sound business acumen, and the capacity to successfully engage with and adapt to a wide audience. Sound like you?
