About the Role
Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, the purpose of this role will be to increase Starlight’s income by building and maintaining positive and engaging relationships with existing and future supporters. You will manage the cash giving appeals program as part of the Individual Giving team and specifically, grow, engage and retain supporters to maximise income, ROI and supporter loyalty by utilising all available channels to create effective integrated appeal campaigns.
You will be able to demonstrate previous experience in working in Direct Marketing role and be able to show a clear understanding of the critical success factors of direct marketing programs. You will have end-to-end campaign management and execution experience of appeal and gifting campaigns including strategic planning, budgeting, briefing, targeting, proof-reading, stakeholder, collaboration and monitoring ongoing results.
Extensive experience working with databases for marketing purposes is essential as is experience in developing direct mail and email campaigns from start to finish, including coordinating creative process, working closely with our brilliant marketing and communications team.
In addition to the above, you will possess:
Experience in a similar direct marketing role in a not-for-profit environment
Experience planning and executing integrated, multi-channel (direct mail and digital) fundraising campaigns utilising data insights, industry learnings and marketing/fundraising principals
Demonstrated understanding of critical success factors of a direct marketing program
A track record of achieving performance targets
Experience in reporting and utilising data-driven insights to inform future campaign activity
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with variety of stakeholders
