Position Overview – Head of Impact Consulting

The success of Purposed, and our ability to realise our vision, relies purely on the success of our clients in delivering their impact strategies to solve the most pressing issues of our time.

This key role will partner with our corporate clients, not for profits and peak bodies to strengthen their ability to define and operationalise their impact strategies, and are empowered to ensure our client’s success in achieving better, sustainable outcomes.

Partnering with a leading impact consulting organisation, the Head of Impact Consulting will formulate a comprehensive impact strategy framework, consulting and activation methodology that is industry agnostic.  The Purposed technology will then be custom built to support this framework to promote an end to end corporate impact solution for our clients.

To generate unprecedented social impact, our Head of Impact Consulting will need to own and execute Purposed’s consulting strategy. This is a senior role which will require deep corporate networks and impact consulting experience.

This Sydney based, flexible part time role is part of Purposed’s leadership team and will work closely with the Directors on the following activities:

• Growing the Purposed business development pipeline
• Establishing effective strategic partner relationships
• Building collaborative, trusted advisor client relationships
• Defining flexible strategic frameworks to realise client’s impact objectives, create tailored recommendations and execute implementation-ready solutions
• Developing client proposals, including project workplans, resource plans and budgets
• Managing client projects ensuring productivity and profitability
• Developing the skills and competencies of the consulting practice
• Representing Purposed in external forums

Early priorities include:

• Supporting business development activities
• Developing Purposed’s impact consulting strategy, frameworks, methodologies and tools

It is essential that

• You are purpose driven with demonstrated knowledge, passion and commitment to working on society’s most important challenges
• You possess deep knowledge of philanthropy, corporate social responsibility and effective social impact and measurement
• You have a wide array of networks and trusted corporate relationships you can leverage to accelerate the awareness and adoption of Purposed
• You have at least 6 years of consulting experience and a strong background managing strategic client and partner stakeholder relationships
• You are a strategic thinker who also has the ability to execute
• You have the leadership qualities and ability to own the entire client consulting process from opportunity evaluation to solution execution, ensuring client success at each stage
• You have solid knowledge of project management principles and expertise leveraging strategic methodologies and tools

It would be great if (but not required)

• You have a graduate degree in Business, Public Policy/ Administration or other equivalent
• You have experience in a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or Foundation Manager role

Role Remuneration

Given that Purposed is pre-revenue, we’ve attracted a high calibre team of like-minded leaders who are passionate about our vision and believe in the business’s viability.

Forecasts indicate we will secure our foundation customer group by July 2018, and until then, key roles within the team are being remunerated with equity.
