About the role
The Marketing & Communications Manager is a leadership role within Philanthropy Australia’s senior team, and a hands-on role in implementing the marketing, media & communications strategy for our peak body organisation.
You will draw on your excellent collaboration and leadership skills to work with PA’s national team to plan and implement the marketing, media & communications to broaden the impact of our brand, membership programme and national & state based events.
You will be responsible for the continuing development and successful engagement of our recently launched web-based digital membership platform, the Better Giving Hub (BGH) by our membership base. Your experience in working with agencies and managing and delivering projects to strict deadlines, building content, reporting and usage monitoring of digital marketing communications, will ensure your success in the role.
Working with a very small marketing & communications budget, you will access your strong interpersonal skills and negotiating experience to leverage discounts and in-kind support from suppliers, critical to providing the kind of service PA needs. Being able to develop positive interactions and cultivate long-term supporters of PA is essential.
You will have a strong track record (7+ years business experience) in marketing, communications, and/or public relations, including proven digital and social media experience; expertise in the digital delivery mechanisms of marketing today. You are able to research, write, and edit marketing communications. You have access to and experience in handling the media. Your interest or experience in the philanthropic sector gives you an edge.
