The Whitlam Institute within Western Sydney University holds a unique place in the national landscape as a Prime Ministerial institute with significant public policy, civic engagement, cultural, historical and heritage responsibilities under the one roof.

These are exciting times for the Institute. We are looking for someone special to join our leadership team in the new role of Policy and Research Manager, as we pursue Gough’s vision of a more equal, open, tolerant and independent Australia.

The next stage of the Institute’s development is enhanced policy research and impact. We are recruiting a Policy and Research Manager to build the strategic direction of the Institute’s policy research and engagement. The position will develop the Institute’s policy networks, partnerships, dialogue, and impact locally and in the broader national debate.

This is a senior position within the Whitlam Institute working closely with the Director and other members of the management team in the strategic development and management of the Whitlam Institute, deputising for the Director as required.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position until 20th September 2021, based at the Parramatta Campus.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 9 – $123,468 to $131,853 per annum (comprising salary $111,391 to $118,956, plus 9.5% Superannuation, plus Leave Loading).
