About the role

If you are looking for a “feel good” job where you can give back to the community, and if you have experience working in customer service or telemarketing in a call centre environment, then this may be just the opportunity you are looking for. We are recruiting for a very exciting position for a Supporter Engagement Officer to work in this open plan office on the 26th floor with beautiful views over Sydney harbour.

In this role you will be responsible for interacting with supporters on a daily basis by responding to inbound queries, proactively making outbound calls to current and potential supporters to welcome, thank, renew, recruit to events, and ensure that supporters receive appropriate acknowledgement for their donations/support. You will interact with supporters across NSW, VIC, ACT and TAS. Additionally, you will assist with the development of supporter engagement plans for particular fundraising programs and assist with the coordination of and attendance at events throughout Sydney metro and Regional NSW area.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has:

• Proven experience with inbound/outbound calls within a call centre environment
• An outstanding relationship management ability
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• A professional and results driven manner
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team
• Excellent attention to details
• Strong computer skills in a range of Office products
• Accurate data entry skills

Ideally you will have experience working within fundraising and the NFP industry, however if you have strong inbound/outbound customer service/sales experience, then we would love to hear from you. Experience using Salesforce CRM database is also desirable, but not essential.

Working from the office in North Sydney with beautiful views over the harbour, within walking distance from the station, this is an opportunity not to be missed out on. The position offers a competitive salary, which include salary packaging benefits of working within NFP, and is a full time fixed term 2 year contract.

Please note: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a National Police Check, possibly an International Police Check and a Working with Children Check.
