About the role
Macquarie University is a workplace like no other. From its inception it has crossed traditional boundaries. The University developed the first electronic calculator for people with vision impairment, wireless internet technology and the Macquarie Dictionary. It was the first university in Australia to introduce childcare on campus and the first to appoint a female Vice-Chancellor. Macquarie University was founded to be different, and it has always been at the forefront of changes to the way we work, live and learn.
The Macquarie University Office of Advancement oversees the University’s fundraising and alumni engagement efforts. The Office of Advancement is entering an exciting growth phase, which will build the University’s advancement capacity and position the University to embark on a multi-year comprehensive fundraising campaign. We are seeking an experienced and innovative Director of Operations to join the Office of Advancement and lead the strategic direction of the Operations team.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Advancement, your focus will be on enhancing and expanding the team’s operational systems to maximise engagement with the University’s donors, alumni, external partners and key stakeholders.
To be successful in this newly created position you will be experienced in working in a high-performance fundraising environment and skilled in developing and implementing supporting systems and processes. This will include leading a team; developing and delivering strategic operating systems which maximise the engagement impact of fundraising activities; designing and implementing systems and processes to manage donation data, and relationship building across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Your senior leadership skills, combined with extensive advancement services experience will ensure your success in this role.
