The position will be primarily based in Coburg but there may be a requirement to travel to additional sites dependent of service demand.
You will be responsible for:
Reporting to the General Manager, Family and Community, the Manager, Counselling and Support Services is responsible for leading and managing a range of complex and integrated counselling and support programs. The Program area consists of a range of services consisting specialist, generalist, and family violence counselling, AOD and mental health programs and court support work.
•Providing strategic and operational leadership and direction across the Program area
•Ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of a range of services and projects
•Undertaking annual service and business planning
•Promoting and supporting partnerships in the development and provision of counselling & support
•Promoting a client centred and integrated approach to service development and implementation
•Creating opportunities for innovation and new programs/business opportunities based on evidence based practice
To succeed in this role you will have:
•Relevant tertiary qualifications
•Experience in leading, developing and implementing a complex range of related programs such as counselling, mental health, AOD, family violence
•Demonstrated staff management experience
•Experience in budget planning, management and a comprehensive understanding of funding requirements and contractual obligations
•Demonstrated experience in program planning and program evaluation
•Demonstrated experience in leading sustainable and effective change management
•Track record in working in partnership with key stakeholders
•Ability to work in a flexible and changing environment
