About the organisation
The Centre is a not-for-profit peak body for over 100 child and family service organisations in
Victoria.
Working for vulnerable children, young people and families, the Centre provides sector training,
facilitates and publishes research, advocates through campaigns and media relations and sustains
ongoing programs focusing on key areas of the State care system.
These include work towards capturing the voices of children and young people and implementing
specific programs for foster care, kinship care and residential care. We also work and advocate
through campaigns and media relations for better transitions for young people leaving State care.
About the role
The Research to Practice Officer is responsible for engaging a diverse range of child and family
service providers in the selection of practice elements.
The Officer will work with DHHS and a DHHS contracted consultant to develop a consultation strategy and co-facilitate effective and engaging sessions to understand current practice and identify practice elements for further research and evaluation.
Reporting to the Director of Social Policy and Research and working closely with a wide range of stakeholders you will also work alongside the EBP Implementation Support team to translate
research for documenting and strengthening evidence-informed practice across the sector.
