About the Role
We are currently seeking applications for a Senior Case Manager position with our Status Resolution Support Services Program. If successful in your application, you will provide high level case management, information and referral services to clients allocated to your case load, provide informal supervision and leadership to other case managers and identify opportunities for service innovation.
We are looking for applications from candidates who can demonstrate the following:
•Degree in social work, community development, community health or related field (mandatory)
•2+ years’ relevant experience in providing effective advanced or complex case management
•A current Working with Children Check (for employment purposes), is mandatory
•Current Driver’s Licence and access to own vehicle with comprehensive insurance for work purposes is mandatory
•Effective interpersonal, cross cultural communication and client advocacy skills and the ability to liaise effectively with contractual partners, mainstream and settlement service providers as well as clients and their communities, and volunteers
•Sound understanding of current Commonwealth and State policies related to immigration, community detention, income support and other relevant social policies and demonstrated ability to respond flexibly to changing policy and program needs
•Demonstrated experience in working autonomously as well as collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams to achieve/exceed key performance goals
•Demonstrated high level written communication, report writing, word processing, organisational and time management skills
•Demonstrated positive values of integrity, reliability, teamwork and professionalism consistent with the AMES Australia Vision and demonstrated commitment to performance management, quality and continuous improvement principles
•Proficiency with IT standard software such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and ability to use Internet and e-mail and other online products
This fulltime opportunity is being offered on a maximum term basis from 2 July to 30 October 2018, and will be based at our Noble Park location. The annual salary of $69,678 + 9.5% super will be prorated.
