2 roles: Philanthropy Lead; Private Giving & Bequests Coordinator

In order to achieve its vision and strategic priorities, philanthropic funding is growing in its importance as a sustainable funding source for the future. RBGV is seeking fundraising professionals to consider two crucial roles within the organisation’s development department who will help to further build on philanthropic income from a variety of sources.

The Philanthropy Lead will manage the day to day operations of the Development Team at Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria to grow revenue and build a sustainable base of individual donors and trust and foundation grants. The role is responsible for two direct reports and works closely with the Head of Development Marketing and Communications to explore and test new income streams and engagement strategies. The successful candidate will possess a proven track record of achieving success in relationship led, donor acquisition and retention strategies with the ability to make a philanthropic ask.

The Private Giving & Bequests Co-ordinator will contribute to the delivery of the Royal Botanic Gardens fundraising plan with a focus on individual donors giving less than $5,000 and bequestors. The role builds strong engagement between RBGV and individual donors and bequestors, through implementation of donor cultivation and stewardship activities. The successful candidate will present demonstrated experience in coordinating private giving and bequest programs with the ability to build solid and positive relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
